Warrior Varsity Are Going To The Super Bowl In Their Inaugural Season!!!!
Varsity Played Oswego White In Bourbonnais And Defeated Them 38-0 To Advance To The Super Bowl The Offensive Line Held Their Blocks And Helped Keep The Ball Moving Up The Field While The Defense Was On Top Of Their Game With Another Shutout Tacked On To Their Season. Special Teams Also Added To The Score When An Onside Kick Was Ran Back For A TD.
There Was A Celebration In The End Zone After The Game With Parents And Players Alike. We Are All Excited And Proud Of The Warrior Varsity For Their Accomplishment.
Coach Mettille Told Me They Still Haven't Played Their Best Football. He Also Said, "I Am Pleased With The Progress The Players Have Made This Year. Eighty Percent Of Our Players Are First Year Players, So We Really Stressed Fun And Fundamentals. Football Is Such A Emotional Game, We Wanted Our Players To Have Fun This Year And Come Back As Freshman At MCHS. We Have Improved In Blocking And Tackling All Year."
Lemont Will Test Our Blocking And Tackling Skills. We Had A Great Game Last Time. This Game Will Be Our Final Test For The Year.
I Know Both Teams Are Looking Forward To The Super Bowl Game.
The Same Night We Played Oswego White, Lemont Beat Joliet In TRIPLE OT. It Was Exciting And A Great Defensive Game. I Can't Wait Until Our Two Teams Meet Again. Our Regular Season Game Against Lemont Was A Nail-Biter...
The JV Warriors Played With A Lot Of Heart Today But Fell Short With A Loss To Lemont (24-0). Don't Let The Score Fool You, It Was A Close Game Throughout. They Fought Hard Until The Final Ticks In An Already Morris Warrior Fashion.
Varsity Will Meet Lemont At The Super Bowl This Coming Sunday In Lemont. MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE And Decorate Your Car, Truck And Dog - (If You Want But Leave The Dog At Home :-) And Show Your Morris Warriors You Are Supporting Them. Lets Show The Other Towns That We Are Serious About Football In Morris.
We'll Get Them Next Year, Guys!
GO WARRIORS!!

First Game In The Playoffs And The Varsity Warriors Are Looking Good.
Varsity Beat Oswego Blue Today With A Score Of 26-0.
"These Kids Hit Harder Than Any Other Team Out There And Their Defense Can Read Almost Any Set," One Parent Told Me. "I Love Watching Them Play, It's Like I'm Watching The Miniature Morris Redskins."
Varsity Will Meet The Winner Of The Oswego White-Bradley Game.
October 11, 2003
JV Came To Play Today And Beat Oswego White 24-0.
JV Offense Looked Flawless As They Marched The Football Down The Field And Their Defense Shut Down Oswego White. Great Football Action On A Great Football Night.
October 5, 2003
Today Was Another Tough Battle As The Warrior Super Lights Lost To Oswego Blue (26-12).
As Most Of You Know, I Coach The Defense For The Super Lights I Have Been Coaching Little League For Six Seasons And I Have To Tell You, These Were The Most Determined Kids I Have Had The Pleasure Of Coaching. I Really Mean That. We (Coach Joe And I) Had Only Two Kids That Have Played Tackle Football Before And Still They All Played Like They Were Seasoned Veterans. It Was A True Delight For Us And We Can't Wait For Next Year. Also, We Would Like To Thank All Of The Parents For Their Support. Without You, Our Job Would Be A Lot Harder...
Go Warriors!!

It's The First Round Of The Playoffs And The Morris Warriors Were Ready!
You Could Hear The Pads Crunching As The Players Collided. Growls Came From Under The Helmets As The Ball Was Snapped. With All Strong Defensive Games, The Scoring Was Minimal But The Action Was Intense.
Unfortunately, Your Morris Warriors Came Up Short By One TD To Romeoville (12-6). It Was A Hard Loss As There Was Not A Dry Eye In The Group After The Game As Coach Mettille Commended Them On A Successful Season. "I Am Very Proud Of All Of You.", Coach Told The Lightweights. "All I Asked Of You Was To Do Your Best And You Gave Me Just That, Your Best. You'll Get Better And Better Each Year And Soon This Team Today Will Take Us To The Super Bowl"
Tomorrow, (Oct. 5) The Supers Play Oswego Blue. Go Super Lights!!
Are You Ready For Some FOOTBALL???
It's Playoff Time And The Morris Warriors Are Ready. Coach Mettille Has Been Busy Helping The Younger Squads Prepare For The Playoffs By Spending Time With The Coaches And Players During This Week's Practices. "It's Time To Get Serious And Hit Until The Whistle Blows", He Told The Lightweights On Tuesday During Practice. "This Will Be The Last Time You Guys Play As A Team. Some guys Will Move Up (To JV) And Others Will Stay Here. Let's Enter Into The Playoffs With One Thing On Our Mind......WIN!"
Playoffs Start On October 4th. For More Info Click HERE.

It's JAMBOREE Time And What An Opportunity For The Coaches To Take A Good Look At Their Players. All Four Levels Showed Up With Their Game Face On And Hit Hard. We Are Very Proud Of The Players As They Have Worked Hard To Make The Morris Warriors Have An Impact On The Three Rivers Youth Football Organization. Though It Was Our First Ever Jamboree With River Valley, We Were Ready For The Stiff Competition Waiting For Us. All Levels Played Hard And Had Fun. The Coaches Were Pleased With The Level Of Competition And Play. It Was An Exciting Day For The Players To Get A Taste Of Competition And Feed That Hunger.
Thanks Goes Out To The Romeoville Spartans For Hosting The Jamboree.

It's Official! The Morris Warriors Have Been Voted In To The River Valley Youth Football Organization.
We Would Like To Thank The Three Rivers League For Their Support And Effort To Make This Happen For Us. We Look Forward To Our Inaugural Season With River Valley And We Are Dedicated To The Growth And Prosperity Of Our New Home.
Once Again, THANK YOU!
It Was A Little Less Than A Year Ago When The Morris Warriors Was Just A Dream. Some Said The Warriors Would Not Make It. Some Said We Would Be Lucky To Get One Squad Worth Of Players To Sign Up. It Was Even Said We Wouldn't Have A Place To Call Home.
I'm Proud To Say, They Were Wrong. We Have Not Only Defeated The Odds, But We Do Have A Place To Call Home And The Overwhelming Support Proves It.
Our First Registration Was A HUGE SUCCESS!! Nearly 100 Players Showed To Sign Up. That's HUGE! Since That Time, We Have Had A Steady Stream Of Players STILL Signing Up. We As An Organization Couldn't Be Happier With The Turn Out. Where Are The "Nay Sayers" Now?
We Can't Say Thank You Enough. Our Community Has Been Behind This "Idea" Since It's Conception. We Are Proud Of The Players Who Went Against The Odds And Gave Us A Chance To Make A Difference In The Morris Youth Football Arena. With This Kind Of Support From Players and Parents Alike, There Will Be No End To Our Growth And Success!
Thanks For Making A Difference.
